Registered Dietitian
General healthy eating and lifestyle management, sustainable weight loss, heart health and CVD, diabetes and prediabetes, and oncology
I had the opportunity to go to Guatemala and do nutrition counseling with women and children there. I counseled on the importance of proper nutrition for lactation, as well as healthy eating to prevent malnutrition. That’s when I knew I could see myself doing this as a career.
My ideal day is definitely during the summer- I’d stop by a local coffee shop and then drive to the beach to go surfing, play spike ball with friends and then have a large family cookout with burgers, baked beans, watermelon and pasta salad.
My counseling style is patient centered, culturally inclusive, and sustainable. I aim to listen first and foremost, and really understand someone's full story. I partner with my patients to apply appropriate, empowering, and inclusive interventions to help them reach their personal goals.
