How did you get into nutrition?

Eating disorders, disordered eating, intuitive eating, improving relationship with food and body image, and oncology

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

How would you describe your counseling style?

My counseling style is compassionate, direct, and science heavy. I use a science-based treatment approach in alignment with the HAES (health at every size) philosophy for the treatment of all types of eating disorders.

When I’m not working, I enjoy playing with my dogs, going to the beach and being the class mom / Uber driver for all of my daughters’ activities.

I had a family member who had diabetes who was going through cancer treatment. I witnessed her firsthand have a diabetic episode, and saw how quickly food was able to help her come out of it. From that moment on I knew I wanted to help people with food.

When I was on my honeymoon in Tahiti, I tried seared tuna with Tahitian vanilla. It sounds like an unusual combination but it was so good.
