Adaure’s passion for dietetics developed after witnessing her family and community members suffer from cardiovascular disease and diabetes–diseases that could be improved with nutrition counseling. She was also interested in maternal and infant health early on. This led her to complete a perinatal and pediatric study-away program in Accra, Ghana, and eventually take a position with the state’s public health department. Adaure’s goal is to help people of all ages and backgrounds optimize their well-being by
building a healthy relationship with food.
Adaure’s approach is patient-centered and gentle. She also incorporates direct, number-driven advice as necessary using evidence-based guidelines. Adaure works with clients to create achievable goals on their journey to improving their health.
Adaure considers herself a “homebody,” who can be persuaded to step outside for really good food and great friends. She enjoys dancing and taking walks during her free time.
