About Anita

Anita’s passion for food started during childhood–she absolutely loved cooking and baking with her mom. Later, she noticed the effect food had on health and how the smallest changes could improve someone’s well-being. From that point, Anita knew she wanted to become an RD and provide people with the tools and information to improve their health, and quality of life, through food. Anita’s motto is ‘food is thy medicine’! Before coming to Culina, Anita worked for many years as an inpatient dietitian at NYU Langone
Hospital and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This provided her with a strong foundation in clinical nutrition and patient counseling. Anita loves working with people, and her patients will forever be her favorite thing about being an RD.

Counseling Style

Anita’s counseling style is patient-centered with both gentle and direct counseling approaches. She provides support and empathy while explaining the science behind how and why to make a change. Anita works with her patients to create plans that are realistic and sustainable for them.
