MS, RDN
After graduating with a degree in communications, Therese landed a job at Prevention Magazine as a food editor. While she knew she was helping the public from a distance through her writing, she yearned to connect with people and teach them how to leverage food to improve their health. Three years later, she pursued her Master’s in nutrition and the registered dietitian credential. With over 10 years of experience, Therese’s background has provided her with expertise in making nutritious food taste good (she became a recipe testing whiz during her days at Prevention), which she believes is critical in sustainable nutrition-related changes. Before joining the Culina Health team, Therese worked in inpatient, outpatient, and private practice settings, primarily focusing on chronic disease prevention, weight management, and GI disorders.
Empathetic, direct, and flexible. Therese takes a prescriptive approach to counseling, giving her patients a clear action plan to take charge of their health, while focusing on what you can eat, not what you can’t.
In her spare time, Therese enjoys playing the piano and staying active with yoga, gardening, and running around after her two young boys. Her go-to guilty pleasure is reality TV–she’s a sucker for the design and organization shows on Netflix.
