Get to Know Kristina
Favorite thing to purchase at the Farmer’s Market or Grocery Store: Any and all types of pickles!
Go-to morning beverage: Iced matcha latte with oat milk
Favorite nutrient-packed snack: Medjool dates + peanut butter
What’s one small thing someone can do today to work toward a balanced eating pattern/lifestyle?: Focus on adding more of what your body needs rather than taking foods away. This could be as simple as adding protein to breakfast or a fruit or vegetable to a meal. Small, consistent changes can go a long way toward creating a balanced and sustainable routine.
A habit you swear by: Drinking water throughout the day! I always have my water bottle nearby so I don’t forget.
Favorite book/TV show/movie: I LOVE a movie night! The Devil Wears Prada and all the Twilight movies
A mindful eating moment you had recently: Taking a few extra minutes to sit down and enjoy my breakfast instead of eating it while rushing around in the morning. It reminded me that slowing down, even for a few minutes, can make meals feel more enjoyable and intentional.
Sleep ritual I never forget: No phone for at least 30 minutes before bed 🙂
Nutrition myth or trend you find particularly annoying and would like to set the record straight: “Seed oils are toxic and should be avoided.” Seed oils aren’t inherently harmful, and there’s no need to fear them. Rather than focusing on eliminating one specific ingredient, I encourage looking at the bigger picture of your overall eating pattern.
