I specialize in lifestyle changes through nutrition education and counseling to help people reach their health goals. I have worked as an outpatient RD and manager for the past 5 years in a variety of different nutrition clinics.

What’s one small thing someone can do today to work toward a balanced eating pattern/lifestyle? Set small realistic goals. Try to be more aware of what you are eating. Set yourself up for success by having healthy food choices on hand.

A habit you swear by: Always read food labels, better to know what is in the product you are buying.

Nutrition philosophy in a nutshell: Everything in moderation. Enjoy your treats but stay on track towards your goals.

Nutrition myth or trend you find particularly annoying and would like to set the record straight: Low carb diets aren’t usually a healthy choice. Healthy carbs are the backbone of a complete eating plan.
