About Peter

Peter has been an athlete his whole life. After noticing how certain foods assisted in his performance on the soccer field and the track course, he began researching nutrition and exercise more. He was so curious about the ‘why’ and ‘how’ of the connection between nutrition/exercise sciences and athletic performance that he pursued a Master’s degree in both! Before joining the Culina Health team, Peter previously worked as an inpatient dietitian at Montefiore Medical Center and served as a research and metabolic clinic coordinator at the Mount Sinai PhysioLab. In addition to his work at Culina Health, Peter is pursuing his Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Sciences at New York University and working as a clinical research dietitian at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

Counseling Style

Gentle, supportive, and science-based. Peter finds patients often expect him to be rigid, thanks to his background in research. However, he prides himself on being approachable and empowering. He feels humbled to primarily get to work with patients with cancer and strives to help people feel more comfortable and confident while facing or recovering from complex health challenges.

Get to Know Peter

In his spare time, Peter enjoys anything that involves food and/or movement! He loves exploring new restaurants and neighborhoods in New York City, spending time in nature, and traveling as often as he can.
