About Cesar
When Culina Health registered dietitian Cesar Sauza was a teenager, he was diagnosed with various medical conditions.
As Cesar embarked on his own journey towards better health, he observed disparities in the way that health and nutrition education is delivered to underserved communities — including his own. This led him to pursue a career in clinical nutrition, providing knowledge, support, and care to patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Cesar holds a Master of Science in Nutritional Science from California State University Los Angeles, and completed his dietetic internship at University of Southern California Community Diabetes Initiative, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, and Country Villa Rehabilitation Center.
Cesar’s favorite cultural dish is oiled pinto beans topped with onion, cilantro, fresh cheese, and accompanied by fresh handmade corn tortillas.
