About Michelle

Michelle’s interest in nutrition began in high school. She taught herself how to cook in a healthier way by watching the Food Network. She was motivated to change her eating habits and be more physically active due to her family history of excess weight, diabetes, and heart disease. She greatly enjoys partnering with her patients to make sustainable changes and cheering them on as they make progress. Michelle has over a decade of experience providing nutrition care in the outpatient setting.

What’s one small thing someone can do today to work toward a balanced eating pattern/lifestyle? If you’re not already eating 1 fruit and 1 vegetable daily, that’s a great place to start.

A habit you swear by: Drinking water before my first sip of coffee in the morning.

What’s your nutrition superpower? Making nutritious food taste delicious by using spices and herbs.

Nutrition philosophy in a nutshell: Whatever nutrition related changes you decide to make now, should be changes you can realistically see yourself being able to sustain long-term. This is key to your success. Extreme changes tend to be difficult to maintain and may lead to temporary results.
