Care for Every Stage of the GLP-1 Journey
Ready to taper off?
Our dietitians help you maintain the progress you’ve made as you gradually reduce and discontinue medication. We’ll coach you through this next phase so you can reduce rebound weight gain, manage your weight, and keep making progress on your health journey.
Starting GLP-1?
We guide you through early side effects, support healthy eating, and make sure your body gets the nutrients it needs, so you feel confident, energized, and in control.
Considering GLP-1?
If you're not yet on medication, we start with a few months of one-on-one nutrition and lifestyle coaching. Our goal: help you see steady, healthy weight loss. If we’re not satisfied with progress, we’ll work together on other interventions such as mental health referrals, physical therapy or personal trainers, or GLP-1 medication in collaboration with your provider.
Considering GLP-1RA Treatment:
Complete 3-6 months of nutrition & lifestyle interventions with goal of at least 5% weight reduction
Assess Need for GLP-1 Agonist Medication in collaboration with your primary care doctor based on lifestyle intervention outcomes.
Medical Nutrition Therapy For Patients on GLP-1 Agonists: Help prevent and/or manage side effects. Review dosage & titration, adjusting as needed. Build & maintain lifestyle interventions.
Progress Assessment: Reassess overall weight loss at 6, 9 & 12 mos. If you are at goal weight & it's medically appropriate, we'll initiate lifestyle protocol for tapering off medication.
Medication Discontinuation: Monitor for weight regain >5% within 3 months. If clinically significant weight regain occurs, we'll collaborate with your physician to determine next steps in treatment.
With The Culina Health Method™, our patients have achieved sustainable weight loss, reduced risk of chronic disease, and built lifelong habits that support better health. Our outcomes consistently surpass national standards for virtual nutrition care.
What our patients say
I wanted to lose weight, but more importantly, I wanted to figure out what works for me to maintain it. About 9 months after working with my dietitian, I am 25 pounds lighter and have kept it off for about 4 months - a really impressive achievement for me! I am also more active and don't feel like I am dieting or "watching what I eat" - this is just my lifestyle. I've most valued having my RD as a partner in my health.
Marina L.
My dietitian helped me figure out things like eating intentions when traveling, pre-workout meals, how to address high cholesterol, and determining a supplement routine, among other things. The one quality I most appreciate is her encouragement, reminders to give myself grace when facing challenges, and celebrating successes even when small. I feel much happier and healthier.
Kevyn D.
When I first met my dietitian, I was struggling to keep my sugar levels in check and making bad decisions despite my best intentions. Yes, she was able to create a program that matched my goals but, more importantly, she was able to integrate good nutrition into my existing lifestyle rather than changing it completely. Working with my dietitian has truly changed my attitude toward nutrition.
