What our patients say
I wanted to lose weight, but more importantly, I wanted to figure out what works for me to maintain it. About 9 months after working with my dietitian, I am 25 pounds lighter and have kept it off for about 4 months - a really impressive achievement for me! I am also more active and don't feel like I am dieting or "watching what I eat" - this is just my lifestyle. I've most valued having my RD as a partner in my health.
Marina L.
My dietitian helped me figure out things like eating intentions when traveling, pre-workout meals, how to address high cholesterol, and determining a supplement routine, among other things. The one quality I most appreciate is her encouragement, reminders to give myself grace when facing challenges, and celebrating successes even when small. I feel much happier and healthier.
Kevyn D.
When I first met my dietitian, I was struggling to keep my sugar levels in check and making bad decisions despite my best intentions. Yes, she was able to create a program that matched my goals but, more importantly, she was able to integrate good nutrition into my existing lifestyle rather than changing it completely. Working with my dietitian has truly changed my attitude toward nutrition.

Who should apply for group sessions?
Our virtual group sessions are for people who want to work with a registered dietitian on a specific nutrition topic and are not ready for/don’t want to pursue the one-on-one care format. Group session participants love to encourage and be encouraged by others as they work towards their health goals. Please note that this program is not suitable for individuals with an eating disorder diagnosis.
What is the benefit of group sessions?
You’ll have access to 6 hours of care from a registered dietitian for a fraction of the cost of 1:1 sessions. You’ll also build a community of support as you work toward shared goals.
How many people will be in the group?
Maximum group size is 12 participants.
Who will be leading the sessions?
Each group session is led by a qualified, experienced registered dietitian specializing in that topic. Each group session leader is selected through an internal application process, and leads the creation of the group session curriculum.
Can I sign up for a drop-in session?
Drop-ins will not be available. Collaboration and community-building are at the core of group sessions, so it’s important to keep a consistent group from week to week. In addition, the curriculum is designed for participants who are able to attend each week and build on their skills and knowledge.
What happens if I miss a session?
Patients will have access to materials for missed sessions; however, weekly meetings will not be recorded to protect patient privacy. There will be no replacement sessions or refunds for missed sessions.
Can I use insurance for group sessions?
Group sessions are designed to be affordable for people who do not have insurance or who do not wish to go through insurance.
