Melissa has been interested in nutrition for as long as she can remember. Her mother recalls Melissa reading the nutrition facts label on cereal boxes as a child. After pursuing an undergraduate degree in psychology, Melissa went straight to graduate school to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Before joining the Culina Health team, Melissa spent the majority of her career in corporate wellness, providing lectures and counseling services to employees. She has served as an Adjunct Professor for several years teaching nutrition courses and was the Director of Nutrition for a national spa chain.
Empathetic and patient-centered, Melissa likes to work with her patients to create an action plan that is realistic for their lifestyle and includes their favorite foods. She likes to set small, individualized goals at each session so her patients leave feeling empowered to make lifelong, sustainable changes.
In her spare time you can find Melissa trying new recipes, taking a barre class and spending time with her 3 young children.
