Carmen views food as one of the most important aspects of daily life. After making her own personal lifestyle changes, she was motivated to help others and decided to pursue a career in nutrition. She received her Master’s in Nutrition Leadership with the goal to effectively lead patients to a healthier lifestyle. She has provided nutrition care in various settings, including long-term and acute care facilities, in home-health, and recreation centers. Carmen believes that all foods fit, and she helps clients nourish their souls while honoring their cultural foods.
Carmen takes a patient-driven approach to counseling, adjusting to the needs of each patient. She can be gentle, direct, or a combination of both. Carmen is committed to improving her clients’ health and wellbeing collaboratively with her patients.
Carmen is famous for her sweet potato casserole, which is always a hit at Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner. She is fun, loving, and the ultimate foodie. She likes hanging out with family and friends, cooking, working out, traveling, binge watching tv shows, and reading her bible.
